Words to know

This quiz borrows words from another culture. Hover (or long-press) any term for its meaning.

بادية (Bādiya)
'The desert / badlands' — the Arabian desert interior. Gulf culture reads character through its symbols: the hunting falcon, the oryx, the camel, and the date palm that makes life possible.
الصقر (Al-saqr)
The falcon — the national bird of several Gulf states. Falconry is a UNESCO-listed heritage art; a great falcon represents focus, nobility, and precision.
